The news media would like to think this is a day for:
African-Americans
Immigrants
Post-Partisanship (civility)
Democrats
Minorities
Etc.
Nonononono. Today is a day for intellectualism, progressivism, leftism and secularism, which encompass and thus result in all of the things above and more. Societal groups cannot and do not exist within a vacuum and this is a major paradigm shift.
Because of this, at least for today and for the first time in at least 8 years, I will feel comfortable listening to our National Anthem. Perhaps I might even think about purchasing a flag.
Today is a good day for me to write a diary again.
